Technical Advisory Board

PreVisor recognizes the importance of helping organizations connect hiring decisions with business results. To do so, PreVisor established a Technical Advisory Board comprised of world-renowned experts in the fields of management, consulting, and Industrial Organizational (I/O) psychology. By collaborating with this highly influential and esteemed group, PreVisor is able to continually refine its best practices and provide the most relevant, accurate, predictive, and legally compliant solutions.

The Technical Advisory Board works closely with PreVisor to:

  • advance the practice of predictive employee selection.
  • maintain rigorous scientific standards.
  • improve the quality, accuracy, and predictability of PreVisor’s solutions.

PreVisor Technical Advisory Board Members:

Phil Bobko, Ph.D.
Dr. Bobko is currently Professor of Management and Psychology at Gettysburg College. He is the author of over 60 publications in leading academic journals and book series in methodology, measurement, management, and I/O psychology. Dr. Bobko has also been a scientific advisor or principal scientist for numerous government projects and contracts that have totaled more than 50 million dollars.

Fritz Drasgow, Ph.D.
Dr. Drasgow is the Director of the University of Illinois Center for Human Resources Management, a past President of The Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology and former chairperson of the American Psychological Association's Committee on Psychological Tests and Assessments. He is a member of the editorial review board of eight journals, including Applied Psychological Measurement, Journal of Applied Psychology, and Personnel Psychology.

Frank Erwin
Frank Erwin joined PreVisor as part of the acquisition of Richardson, Bellows, Henry and Co (RBH) where he was the Chairman of the Board. RBH specialized in personnel management and measurement. Mr. Erwin has many years of experience in test construction and publication, installation and validation of selection systems, performance management, and position analysis.

Robert Gatewood, Ph.D.
Dr. Gatewood is Director of the Executive MBA Program in the Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University. His current research areas include selection, quality management, performance measurement, and individual reaction to job loss. Dr. Gatewood has served as a consultant and trainer to several organizations including BellSouth Telecommunications, PPG Industries, Savannah River Ecology Laboratory, IBM, and Ford Motor Co.

Craig Russell, Ph.D.
Dr. Russell is the Chair of Business Leadership at the College of Business Administration, University of Oklahoma. He is the author of numerous books on statistics, strategic selection and training and development and has written over 85 publications. Dr. Russell is on the editorial board for the Journal of Applied Psychology and the Journal of Management and has held numerous academic positions at universities throughout the U.S.

Frank Schmidt, Ph.D.
Dr. Schmidt currently holds a chaired professorship in human resources in the Tippie College of Business, University of Iowa. His areas of specialty are personnel testing, selection, and placement. He is an award winning researcher, an expert witness in court cases involving selection and a member of editorial boards for several journals in the applied psychology area. Dr. Schmidt has also headed the Defense Advisory Committee for Military Testing.

Paul Thayer, Ph.D.
Dr. Thayer worked for the Life Insurance Marketing and Research Association for 21 years before becoming Professor and Head of the Psychology Department at North Carolina State University. Dr. Thayer has been a consultant for many organizations in business and government, including hundreds of life insurance companies. Dr. Thayer served on the editorial board of Personnel Psychology for 30 years and is author or co-author of dozens of articles and book chapters, including Training in Business and Industry.
